INTERIOR: It always allows to open on the inside; with key and also with handle or panic bar, even when the lock is locked by the cylinder (panic function)
EXTERIOR: It always opens with the cylinder or with the handle, provided that it hasn't been locked with the cylinder
When closing the door the lock doesn't lock automatically, that is: After opening through the panic function, when closing, the door is only locked by the lock's latch allowing exterior and interior access through the handle (passage mode)To prevent free exterior access you have to use the key (cylinder) to operate the deadbolt.
